Ryan Day Claims First World Seniors Tour Title With 4–1 Final Victory
Ryan Day has claimed the first World Seniors Snooker Tour title of his career after defeating Andy Lavin 4–1 in the final at The Crucible Club in Reading.
The former world No. 6 enjoyed an impressive run through the event, including victories over former World Seniors champion Aaron Canavan, Stuart Watson and Mark Davis.
Day had to recover from 2–0 down against Watson in the quarter-finals before winning 4–2, and he repeated that scoreline against Davis in the semi-finals despite his opponent making two century breaks.
In the final, Lavin levelled the contest at 1–1, but Day responded with a break of 91 before eventually sealing the title with a superb 127.
The 4–1 victory gives Day his maiden World Seniors Tour crown and an important early boost in the race towards the 2027 World Seniors Championship.
