Harimau Malaya face hosts Indonesia tonight in one of Southeast Asian football’s biggest rivalries, with the latest edition of the Nusantara Derby carrying major significance in the FIFA ASEAN Cup 2026.

Malaysia enter the clash with confidence after opening their Group A campaign with a convincing 3–0 victory over Bangladesh, while Indonesia also collected three points with a 2–0 win against Singapore.

Interim head coach Tan Cheng Hoe has called for discipline and full concentration against an Indonesian side he believes possess dangerous attacking quality and a strong defence.

Arif Aiman, who scored twice in Malaysia’s opening victory, will again be one of Harimau Malaya’s key attacking threats as they look to silence a packed Gelora Bung Karno Stadium.

The match kicks off at 8:30 PM Malaysian time, with both teams knowing victory would provide a huge advantage in the race to finish top of Group A and qualify for the final.
