Marc Marquez has officially committed his future to the Ducati Lenovo Team, signing a two-year contract extension that will keep him on the factory Desmosedici through the 2027 and 2028 MotoGP seasons. The announcement cements a wildly successful partnership that saw the #93 rider complete one of the greatest comebacks in sporting history by capturing his seventh premier class crown in 2025.

After a record-breaking 2025 campaign—which featured 14 Tissot Sprint victories and 11 Grand Prix wins to secure the championship by Japan—Marquez is currently staging another impressive charge in the 2026 season. Shaking off early injury setbacks, he has recently slashed the championship deficit with back-to-back triumphs at Balaton Park and Brno. Notably, his recent victory in Hungary marked his 100th career win across all classes and delivered the Ducati Lenovo Team’s 100th MotoGP victory during the manufacturer’s centenary year.

Expressing his delight, Marquez stated he is “truly happy” to continue with what he believes is the most competitive project on the grid. He emphasized the mutual trust and hard work that fueled their 2025 title run, adding that as long as he is there, he will “give my all to paint the future red.”

Ducati Motor Holding CEO Claudio Domenicali and Ducati Corse General Manager Luigi Dall’Igna echoed these passionate sentiments, praising Marquez’s extraordinary talent, fierce competitive spirit, and the harmony he brings to the garage. They affirmed that extending the partnership was the “most natural choice” to keep the Italian manufacturer at the pinnacle of the sport.

Fans won’t have to wait long to see the #93 back in action, as Marquez sets his sights on making it three wins in a row at this weekend’s Dutch GP.
