Williams Racing will sport a striking one-off livery at this weekend’s British Grand Prix. The Grove-based team is celebrating its home race with a Union Jack-inspired design that will be prominently featured across their cars, race suits, and team apparel.

Since Frank Williams founded the iconic team in 1977, they have tasted victory at Silverstone on eight separate occasions. To honor this rich British heritage, the FW48 will be adorned with vibrant splashes of red, white, and blue across the nose cone and the sides of the chassis.

Drivers Alex Albon and Carlos Sainz will don unique race suits mirroring the patriotic design. Trackside team members will also wear exclusive takeover kits as the squad reflects on historic home triumphs, paying tribute to moments like Jacques Villeneuve securing the team’s 100th victory in 1997 and crowd favorite Nigel Mansell’s three unforgettable wins.

The team hopes this special aesthetic will bring good fortune as they aim to add to their current tally of 11 championship points. A return to the top 10 is the primary goal for the weekend, especially after Sainz suffered a frustrating retirement at the recent Austrian Grand Prix.

Team Principal James Vowles expressed immense pride in flying the flag for the British Grand Prix. He stated that from their first win to their 100th, Silverstone has hosted some of the most iconic moments for Atlassian Williams F1 Team. Vowles emphasized that the atmosphere of the home crowd is unmatched on the F1 calendar and assured supporters that the team will carry their energy throughout the entire weekend.
